Inside P3 Sessions & L.A.B. Day: How BEAM Scholars Learn

    July 19, 2026 6 min read

Daily P3 Sessions and weekly L.A.B. Day are the engines of B.E.A.M.'s learning model. Here's what a day in the life of a scholar looks like.

Every B.E.A.M. day includes a P3 Session—a dedicated two-hour block where scholars dive deep into Passion-Driven, Project-Based, Personalized learning. This is where the curriculum comes alive through hands-on inquiry and creation.

P3 isn't lecture time. Scholars might be prototyping an invention, researching a community issue, producing a short film, or building a business plan. The educator is a guide, not a lecturer—helping each scholar pursue their question at their depth.

Then there's L.A.B. Day—Learning, Applying, Building. One day each week is devoted entirely to applied projects where scholars take what they've learned and build something real. A garden bed. A podcast. A product. A presentation to the community.

This rhythm—deep daily inquiry plus weekly applied building—is how B.E.A.M. turns knowledge into capability. Scholars don't just learn about the world. They learn to shape it.
